Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports list For Saxitoxin and Ricin

Tariff headings 3002.49.10 and 3002.49.20 relating to saxitoxin and ricin articles imported need to be detained for Non-Proliferation Council. The following process is prescribed:
1. The client will need to consult the Non Proliferation Secretariat’s Office via email nonproliferation@thedtic.gov.za or telephonically: 012 394 3116 or 064 880 5210 or 066 472 4749 or 066 471 8700 or 063 643 0204 or 066 301 8861 or 067 429 4235
2. Send the document describing the commodity (e.g. Material Safety Data Sheet, Item Brochure, Specification Data Sheet, etc.) to the Non Proliferation Secretariat’s Office via email: nonproliferation@thedtic.gov.za
