WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

By the end of this event the participant should:

  • Have a working knowledge of the current position of key legislation;
  • Have a practical approach to handling these statutes in their day to day lives;
  • Understand the implications of non-compliance and enforcement; and
  • Have useful information to communicate to their organisation and client base.

DESCRIPTION

The 2020 year has been a strange time with respect to legislation; much has happened but at the same time not much has changed.

We have dealt with the COVID-19 lockdown through keeping an eagle eye on the National Disaster Management Act but many other Acts and Regulations haven’t had the same care and attention that they have needed during this period.

This Tech Talk will be looking at two main pieces of Legislation namely, the Companies Act and the Protection of Personal Information Act with a focus on the practical aspects and what you need to know.

Join us to keep informed regarding important requirements of the Companies Act and the Protection of Personal Information Act in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
