Description
Professionalisation within government agencies has been marked as a crucial mandate since November 2022. The Auditor General’s national general report was tabled in parliament on 3 November 2023 and highlighted notable deficiencies. Material findings were raised at 127 (42%) auditees, and material findings on compliance with key legislation were raised at 178 (76%) auditees.
The stakes are high: failure to effectively implement professionalisation could steer South Africa towards being labelled as a failed state. With the financial year-end of 31 March 2024 (PFMA) and 30 June 2024 (MFMA) and the related reporting thereon, it is vital to raise awareness and assist government agencies by hosting an event regarding the practicalities of implementing professionalisation.
It is imperative to stay updated regarding developments and benchmark your reporting against best practices.
