Nicolaas van Wyk, (CIBA Cert.Fin.Officer (SA)). Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute for Business Accountants (formerly SAIBA)Â
Nicolaas serves as area President Africa for IAFEI and CEO of SAIBA. He holds qualifications in BCom Hons, MBA and Dipl Corporate Law and is a founding member of CFO Alliance and Past Area President Africa: IAFEI. He has extensive experience in the Professional Body and NPO industry with a long history of training and development. He has authored a number of books and publications.
Mr. Justus Mwafongwe, (CIBA Cert.Fin.Officer (SA)). Deputy Executive Director and Tax Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises Â
Justus is an accomplished financial professional with over 20 years of experience in public finance, revenue administration, and tax policy development. He has previously served as the Commissioner for Inland Revenue in Namibia, where he oversaw the administration of taxes and tax policy implementation. He is currently serving as the Deputy Executive Director and Tax Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises in Namibia, where he provides strategic leadership and guidance on economic and fiscal policy. He has played a significant role in shaping Namibia’s economic and fiscal policies and has been instrumental in the development of tax policies that support sustainable economic growth. He holds a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Pretoria, which is his highest qualification.
Maggy Shino, Petroleum Commissioner, Ministry of Mines and Energy, NamibiaÂ
Maggy is a highly respected and experienced professional in the petroleum industry, with over two decades of experience in various capacities. She is currently serving as the Petroleum Commissioner for Namibia, where she oversees the exploration, production, and distribution of petroleum products in the country. Prior to her appointment, she held senior positions in several petroleum companies, including Shell Namibia and BP Namibia, where she gained extensive knowledge and experience in the sector. She is also a member of the Petroleum Agency of South Africa Advisory Board and has contributed significantly to the development of the petroleum industry in Namibia and beyond. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Namibia and a master’s degree in petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen.
