DESCRIPTION

The Revised International Standard on Related Services (ISRS) 4400 was released on 3 April 2020. The purpose of this standard is to provide guidance on Agreed-upon Procedures (AUP) engagements.

AUPs fall within the ambit of immigration accounting – a service that is steadily growing.  Immigration accountants perform the important role of issuing certificates required by foreign investors to successfully apply for Business Visas with the Department of Home Affairs. This role requires the accountant to adhere to guidelines provided by the International Standard on Related Services 4400 (ISRS 4400) on how to perform agreed-upon procedure engagements.
