DESCRIPTION

In 2025, governments in 50% of jurisdictions will report on an accrual basis. This is according to a report released in June by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). The report was drawn from the International Public Sector Financial Accountability Index, which captures current and future use of public financial reporting bases and frameworks by governments around the world.

Africa is identified as one of the regions that will lead the projected increase in accrual adoption over the coming five years.

PAFA is inviting you for a two-hour webinar on 30 September 2021 from 11:00 – 13:00 (GMT +2) themed ‘Enhancing Public Sector Accountability in Africa through Accrual Reporting’ that will culminate in the launch of the International Public Sector Financial Accountability Index report.
