Capital projects are long-term investments which by their nature involve huge expenditure that requires careful consideration before approval. It would be unwise and disastrous to start a capital project without using important capital budgeting techniques.

Although it is often the management accountant who is tasked with capital budgeting, the techniques can be used by anyone interested in valuing projects of any size. In this webinar we look at capital budgeting in detail as we discuss how you can evaluate whether or not to invest in a capital project using various techniques.

Caryn Maitland is a Chartered Accountant (SA). She has been a member of IRBA as a registered auditor and accountant since 2002.
Caryn has lectured Auditing and Accounting at various institutions and has conducted independent workshops and seminars for professional accountants since 2006 on various topics.
