DESCRIPTION

POPIA is the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) which commenced on 1 July 2020.

The core provisions of POPIA pertain to the processing of personal information, the processing of special personal information, the Information Officer, direct marketing by means of unsolicited communications, flow of information outside of South Africa and enforcement of POPIA.

The Act requires all businesses (including employers, schools, trusts, municipalities, etc) that process personal information, to ensure that the necessary measures are in place to implement, prove and monitor compliance by 30 June 2021.

This is a very daunting task which necessitates in-depth knowledge of this very complicated Act. This is why we have invited our POPI Act expert consultant, Lettie Janse van Vuuren CA(SA), to present this important series that will take you to full compliance.

The Series includes 12 units (webinar recordings and slides) presented from August 2020 until June 2021.  The number of units available for immediate viewing on registration will depend on the release dates as listed below.

Register for the series and let us help you become compliant every step of the way! The sooner the journey begins the more time you will have to put the various policies and procedures in place.
