Results of a SAIBA tax practitioner survey August 2022
During August 2022 SAIBA conducted a survey to access the impact that the SARS strike had on the businesses of tax practitioners. Results revealed that the lack of communication posed the biggest challenge. Frustrations experienced were highest due to lack of assistance from SARS staff members, including missing appointments and delayed feedback.
Vast majority of respondents estimated financial losses suffered up to R10,000. The additional time required to meet SARS deadlines will still increase these losess.
SAIBA urges all stakeholders to not pose additional strain on tax practitioners and resolve outstanding matters with due care.
The results of this survey are summarised in the document below.
